The Wendell N Jarrard Foundation was established on June 10, 1988. The purpose of the Foundation, based upon the spirit of generosity embodied in the lives of Wendell and Emily Jarrard, is to provide financial resources to deserving organizations in the following core segments:

 

Education | Churches and Faith Based Organizations | Community Outreach | Medical

 

The Wendell N Jarrard Foundation provided its first grants in 1990 in the amount of $50,000 to Stetson University to fund an education department resource room and take part in their Challenge Gift Program. Since that time, annual giving has increased to approximately $75,000 to $100,000 per year. The breadth and depth of the organizations and communities affected by the Foundation is astounding. All told, the Foundation has exceeded $1,200,000 in grants in just over 20 years. The progressive and visionary manner in which the Foundation was organized and instituted will allow for gifts of the same amount or greater for years to come.
